Tested Decks
Most of all the companies that went out on a limb and contributed decks to be tested deserve our thanks and gratitude because without them this test would not have been possible. All these companies had enough faith in their product to send decks to be tested. Any decks not associated with these companies' decks were purchased for the test in order to have a low end comparison. Decks were measured and compared in several areas, weight, width, tail angle, depth of concave, thickness along with the other tests already mentioned on the data page. Please review the data page to view this info and determine which deck best fits your needs. These were only sample tests and data for this group of decks may vary from test to test depending on wood moisture content, wood grain, construction process, gluing process and any number of unforeseen occurrences. The deck coatings were compared and how different construction materials effect performance. The deck reviews can only tell a rider the strengths and weaknesses of a deck.
A local skate park has started in my area. In a old shirt factory 25 miles from my home in Paris. The next closest is in Nashville 120 miles away. I wanted you to know the decks from the testing that I purchased and the ones donated, I am giving to under-privileged kids that can't afford decks. Everyone who donated decks were very kind and I am grateful. Most of the decks still had a lot of life left in them and it seems like the right thing to do. I had already given the untested duplicate decks away to thru the donations for the under-privileged during Christmas after discussing it with some of the manufacturers. It completes the circle. The skatepark is called The Third Floor, 305 West Washington (Old Shirt Factory), Paris, Tennessee. 0wned by Rosie Lowery (731-642-2767). I went to the park last month and saw they had many kids without decks and I had some trucks that I was not using also, so we got several kids on boards and more still to follow. Some just needed a deck, others were riding old wore out skateboards that someone had given them. NEWS UPDATE!!! July 4th. The Third Floor Closed last week. There are no other skateparks within 100+ miles.

*Stress Test: The Stress test number is the calculated average between the two tests in lbs of pressure. During the Machine setup and sample testing the decks average between 1st and 2nd tests maintained
the same average 2nd and 3rd tests as well as 3rd and 4th. The lower the number the better the board preformed in the test. When viewing the charts you can see how a deck will preform
based on use.
