2005 Test Results
Best Tested 2005
Revdeck 150 lbs and above.
9 1/2 stars
Great Product! Best all composite deck I have seen. They use a deck ranking system that separates their decks by skill level expectations. They have achieved their goal. They have a quality product that can easily meet user satisfaction. They were the best in slide wear and abrasion resistance testing. Best style/design I have seen in a deck. Decks could easily last 2-1 over conventional decks. Decks were also lighter than the average decks tested. They are manufactured with 100% composite materials.

What can I say? Great Deck!!!
Deck was light and super thin.
It performed within the average of the flexural, slide and abrasion resistance tests. Did great
In the fatigue test also, showed the deck will last a long time. This deck falls into the expert class,
but would be great for any skater at any skill level. A must have for any skater. I am very impressed.

The deck performed well. It was light and has a good shape and design. This deck would be best suited for someone in the 150lbs and above/expert class. They would get the most response from this deck. This is not a toy store deck. It is a serious skateboard for serious skaters. I really like the fiberglass stripe pattern on the top layer. They did well on the abrasion resistance test and great on the slide wear test and the tip and side impact test. Great deck at a great price.

As the name implies they are light, lighter than any other decks tested.
These decks help set the industry standard for style and design. Decks did great on impact test and well on wear resistance also, Based upon this testing these decks would fall in the intermediate skill level. The tests show a skater below 150 lbs would get much more response from these decks.

Angel Boy
(Birch and Maple)

Best Birch decks tested this year! Powell markets these decks as beginner decks. But, based upon the testing these decks performed better than the other beginner deck in this years testing and in previous years. The decks did great on the tip and side impact test. Deck finish also held up well on the slide wear test. These decks cost $39.99 complete. Both the maple and birch, Angel Boy lines are best cost/performance prepackaged skateboards I have seen. A good buy for any skater, regardless of skill level.

Positive points: Excellent deck coating on these decks. They did above average on the slide wear test. Based upon the performance of these decks on the other tests these decks will have to be included
in the beginner class. They are very similar in size and appearance
to the majority of the decks on the market today.
